Meet Amanda
The team at Thread HR are a friendly bunch, headed up by Amanda Henderson.
After gaining a BSc in Marketing, Amanda also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Multi-unit Strategy and Leadership before gaining a Level 7 CIPD qualification.
Amanda not only has strong theoretical knowledge of business and people management, but she also has over 7 years of experience in operations, leading teams and managing business functions. Amanda’s various roles in operations saw her work with a range of businesses, from an FTSE 250 company to start-ups. Amanda’s invaluable experience and knowledge of working in operations is what sets Thread HR apart.
Whilst working in these roles, Amanda became increasingly interested in growing the people side of the business. Recruiting, hiring and nurturing great talent on an individual basis, as well as seeing how company-wide people initiatives can make a difference ignited a new passion.
It was this interest in the people side of the business that drew Amanda away from working in operations and into people function. Here, she was able to use her knowledge and experience in business and operations to get the best out of people. This ability to combine the power of people with a comprehensive understanding of how to leverage it in the world of business and operations is what makes Amanda stand out.
With over 7 year’s experience in recruitment and HR, Amanda created Amanda Henderson HR in 2021 and later expanded into Thread HR as the business grew.

As a founder and business owner, Amanda truly understands the day-to-day challenges, concerns and decisions that business owners face. Her pragmatic approach to combining operations with people, alongside her appreciation of running a business is what makes Amanda and Thread HR unique.
Outside of the business, Amanda is mum to two girls and is a keen runner, reader and foodie. As if all that is not enough, she is also a Vice Chair of the Parish Council!
