Amanda Henderson

Thread HR Founder + Managing Director, Amanda Henderson

Amanda has a solid academic background in all things business and HR with a BSc in Marketing, a Postgraduate Diploma in Multi-Unit Strategy and Leadership and Level 7 CIPD. But perhaps more importantly than this, Amanda has experience in running teams and driving profit and loss accounts in all types of companies from a FTSE 250 business to start-ups.

It is this coupling of practical and operational experience with strategic theory that means that Thread HR is the partner that makes sense for your business.

Thread HR was founded in January 2023 a followed on from Amanda Henderson HR which was set up in 2021.

Outside of the business, Amanda is mum to two girls, a keen runner, weight-lifter, rower (the latter sadly just on a machine), as well as a voracious reader and a fanatical foodie. As if all that is not enough, she is also a councillor on Rugby Borough Council.

Hayley Oates

People Partner, Hayley Greenwood

Hayley was Thread HR’s first employee, and joined in September 2024.  She has a winning combination of knowledge, experience, warmth and fun, making her a perfect addition to the Thread HR team.

She has over 10 years of experience working in Human Resources. Throughout this time she has carried out the full range of People tasks and projects spanning the entire employee life-cycle.

She also holds a Level 7 CIPD qualification and brings bags of experience from the worlds of utilities and manufacturing, and therefore, working with unions.

Hayley is mum to a little boy and a cockapoo called Mash. Weekends are often spent at football matches cheering on her husband, or running around parks after her boy and dog; another busy bee!

 

Alice Charles

People Partner, Alice Charles

Joining Thread HR in April 2025, Alice brings her passion for all things people (and food) to the team.

For the past 12 years, Alice has been navigating the wild and wonderful world of HR. Much of her HR career has been spent in the fast-paced hospitality industry, where she worked with renowned brands like Dishoom and Sticks’n’Sushi.

From fostering inclusive workplace cultures to supporting rapid growth and everything in between, she understands the unique challenges of the sector – whether it’s recruiting top talent, refining people strategies, or ensuring teams thrive in high-energy environments. With a strong problem-solving mindset and a keen eye for detail, she excels at navigating complex workplace challenges and ensuring seamless communication across teams.
When she’s not untangling HR conundrums,

Alice is Mum to a little girl and a miniature dachshund. A self-proclaimed foodie, she’s always on the hunt for the best new restaurant – or, more realistically, the best kid-friendly café with decent coffee!

Amanda Killick

People Partner, Amanda Killick

Amanda joined the team in October 2025.  She holds a Level 7 CIPD qualification and brings years of experience working in the world of logistics within the Retail, Manufacturing, Technology, Healthcare and Private sectors. She has plenty of experience working with Trade Unions and is confident in guiding clients through all areas of the employee-lifecycle. From recruiting the best talent; supporting a strong culture built around diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging; leading successful change initiatives and utilising HR Metrics and data insights to shape strategic people plans aligned to both organisational goals and long-term growth.

Amanda understands that the needs of each client will vary, and she takes great pride in understanding your business as a true partner to ensure the best support, advice and processes are provided. Through leveraging her coaching, active-listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills; Amanda will make sure clients feel like a priority and will guide them through the often complex world of HR!

Amanda is mum to two little girls and in her spare time enjoys family days out exploring new places, swimming, yoga, Pilates, and has a keen interest in interior design and retail therapy!

Claire Udell

Operations Manager, Claire Udell

Claire joined the Thread HR team in May 2026 as the company’s Operations Manager and it’s first full time employee.

With a broad background of experience in the operations, HR, hospitality, legal, and events sectors, Claire brings a practical and people-focused approach to everything she does. She enjoys helping teams work effectively, supporting great client experiences, and makes sure the day-to-day runs as smoothly as possible. Alongside her people skills, she is confident working with a range of systems and processes, always looking for ways to improve efficiency and keep things organised behind the scenes. Whatever the task, Claire’s focus is simple: putting people first while making things work better for everyone.

 
Claire is mum to her two daughters, is step mum to four and is Granna to her step grandson too! In her down time, she and her partner can be found enjoying days out and weekends away with their family and friends, being ‘mums taxi’, walking with her dog, snuggling up with her cat for a cosy night in and occasionally indulging in all things automotive… she a bit of a petrolhead at heart!
