Thread HR Training Hub FAQs

Who are these training sessions for?

Our live online training sessions are ideal for managers, supervisors, team leaders, business owners and anyone responsible for managing people. Whether you’re new to people management or simply looking to build your confidence, our sessions are designed to give you practical knowledge you can use straight away.

Do I need HR experience?

Not at all.

Our training is designed for people managers, not HR professionals. We keep things practical, easy to understand and free from unnecessary jargon.

What makes Thread HR Training Hub different?

We know there are lots of places to find HR information and guidance.

Our focus isn’t simply explaining what the guidance says; it’s helping you understand how to apply it in real-life workplace situations.

Our sessions are interactive, practical and built around the everyday challenges that managers face.

Will I be able to ask questions?

Absolutely.

One of the biggest benefits of joining a live session is having the opportunity to ask questions and learn from real workplace scenarios.

Are the sessions interactive?

Yes.

We encourage discussion throughout the session and aim to create a relaxed, welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable taking part.

You’re never put on the spot, but you’re always welcome to contribute if you’d like to.

Will I receive any training materials?

Yes.

After the session, you’ll receive a copy of all supporting resources referenced during the training.

Will the session be recorded?

Yes, the live training sessions are recorded but only for internal Thread HR Training Hub purposes to review and improve the services we offer. To encourage open discussion and protect attendee confidentiality, our live sessions are not shared with attendees.

How long is each session?

Most of our sessions last approximately 90 minutes, including time for questions and discussion.

What platform do you use?

Our sessions are delivered online using Zoom.

You’ll receive joining instructions and a meeting link before the session.

Do I need to have my camera on?

No, not if you don’t want too.

You’re welcome to join with your camera on or off; whatever you’re most comfortable with.

What if I can’t attend after booking?

If you’re unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible. Depending on the notice provided, we may be able to transfer your booking to another session.

How much does it cost?

Our training sessions start from £50 per person.

That includes live interactive training, the opportunity to ask questions, and supporting resources after the session.

Why should I pay when there’s free HR guidance available?

There are some fantastic free resources available, and we regularly recommend them.

Our training goes one step further by helping you put that guidance into practice. We focus on the conversations you’ll have, the decisions you’ll make and the confidence you’ll gain to manage real workplace situations.

What will I leave with?

By the end of the session, you’ll feel more confident in:

  • Managing employees fairly and consistently.
  • Having supportive conversations with employees.
  • Conducting meaningful reviews and meetings.
  • Understanding when further action may be appropriate.
  • Applying practical HR guidance in everyday situations.

What if I’m not completely satisfied?

We want every attendee to leave feeling they have gained practical value from the session.

If you attend the training and genuinely don’t feel it met your expectations, please get in touch within 48 hours. We’ll discuss your feedback and work with you to make it right.

Can we book as a team?

Absolutely.

If you have several managers who would benefit from the same training, we’d love to hear from you. We can also discuss private virtual or in person sessions tailored specifically to your organisation.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes.

All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance following the session.

Is the training suitable for small businesses?

Definitely.

Whether you employ five people or five hundred, the principles covered in our training are practical, relevant and designed to support managers in any workplace.

Still have a question?

We’d love to help. If there’s anything you’d like to know before booking, just get in touch. We’re always happy to answer questions and help you decide whether the session is right for you.
