Okay, so here it is… Thread HR’s first blog! It’s been a while in the making, but we have lift off!
We are really excited to launch this blog! We aim to bring HR updates in our famous easy to understand style, whilst allowing the Thread HR team to channel their creative flair and write about topics that mean the most to them and will be the most helpful to you.
This blog will be a mixed bag; there might be some weather chat, some holiday conversations, even football might make its way in…but by doing so we hope we bring you some joy, some learnings, some current information, and also insights into Thread HR as a business and the people within it that make the cogs turn.
So, who are we? This blog may be the first time you have ever come across Thread HR, or you might be a long-standing friend of ours, but either way let’s start at the very beginning…
We are just about 3 and a half… Founded by Amanda Henderson, who was previously operating as Amanda Henderson HR, before she realised, “actually, this is going pretty damn well”, and decided to prepare for something bigger in the future.
We pride ourselves on care and compassion, whilst being commercially minded and curious. Our ‘home’ industry is hospitality, with years of experience in operational and People roles spread throughout Thread HR, (coupled with our love for food and drink!). We also have a growing non-hospitality division, which allows us to get stuck in with a really broad range of clients. App Developers one minute, vinyl records the next?!? Like we said, its a mixed bag over here and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
You might have come across our strapline ‘Holding Businesses together and Making Them Stronger’ – That’s where the name Thread HR was born.
But the best thing about us, is that we are so passionate about what we do, how we do it, and the clients that we work with. And when we say we channel this love and passion, we mean through EVERYTHING that we do.
